Kim Kardashian launches range of stylish and seamless face masks

Kim Kardashian West has launched a range of face masks to help make coronavirus protective-wear fashionable.

The reality star’s shapewear line SKIMS is selling the practical fashion accessory in five neutral colours called sand, clay, sienna, onyx and cocoa.

The masks are not medical and retail at $8 (£6.61) for one, and packages of two for $15 (£12.39) or four for $25 (£20.65).

The Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s star will also be donating 10,000 masks to charity. These charities include L.A Food Bank, the National Domestic Workers Alliance, Baby2Baby and Good+Foundation.

This follows the whopping $1 million that the star’s brand donated back in March to help towards coronavirus relief methods.

At the time the reality TV queen, who is currently training to be a lawyer, said in a statement: "I am so grateful to all of you who have supported SKIMS since we first started six months ago. It’s been a dream of mine for so long, and has only been possible because of your love for what we do."

She continued: "Our six-month anniversary has fallen in the middle of a global crisis so more than ever, it's our responsibility to give back and do what we can to help others."

The masks are machine washable, made from 97% Nylon and 3% Spandex and come in one size that fits all. Despite launching today they are currently sold out but there is a waiting list if you would like to buy one.

On the website it says: “We are working with our supplier in LA to produce more masks as quickly as possible. The next batch will be available next week. Please sign up for the waitlist to be notified first.”

Kim launched SKIMS back in February after she spent years unable to find the perfect kind of undergarment.

Back in February, in an interview with Good Morning America, the star said: "If I couldn't find shapewear that was my skin tone, what is my daughter going to find when she grows up and needs shapewear?

"So I wanted to make a variety of a shade range that I didn't feel like was out there in the marketplace, and I've always worn shapewear so I just wanted to modernize it and make it a little more comfortable and more durable.”
