Inside the hilarious life of Harry’s Heroes star Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock and glam model wife who’s 13 years his junior
NEIL ‘Razor’ Ruddock stole the show on ITV’s brilliant Harry’s Heroes last night.
From ripping his shorts to getting stuck in a turnstile and walking off from the bleep test during level 1, the former Liverpool and Spurs defender had his audience in stitches with his larger than life personality.
A renowned hard man, viewers saw him in a new light on the show which sees ex-gaffer and I’m A Celeb champ Harry Redknapp manage group of ageing England stars as they battle to lose weight and get fit for a reunion with old rivals Germany.
Ruddock, 50, has always been far from shy on and off the field, and after tipping the scales at 23-stone, it is clear that Razor enjoys the finer things in life.
On the show he revealed how he would eat gammon, poached egg, mashed potato and sink it down with a Guinness in the evening before a match.
Redknapp also revealed he was forced to lose a whopping five stone before the show even started.
But it still didn’t prevent him from failing to fit through the turnstile – or bend over far enough to get his socks on.
It may have not come as a surprise what happened next after Redknapp sticks them all on a strict diet.
In typical Razor fashion, his response is to go off on a cruise where he devours food and booze before returning to his fellow England team-mates.
Despite the health issues and past controversies, he appeared to be a big hit with viewers.
One simply said: “God bless Neil Ruddock.”
Another added: “Neil Razor Ruddock should have his own TV show, the guy’s hilarious.”
A third said: “Razor has fully got me in stitches with some of his one liners.”

And it’s not just on the show that he had fans rolling on the floor – as a quick look at his Instagram reveals he’s just as funny off the screen.
Pictures see him doing a kids’ puzzle book in Pizza Express, offering to be a Ralph Lauren model and posing with music star pal Rod Stewart.
In one pic he poses with a bra on his head with the caption: “Think I had a couple too many last night. Anyone seen the Mrs.”
In fact, his colourful home life isn’t lost on his missus Leah, who today tweeted: “So many people saying that we should have our own TV show #AtHomeWithTheRuddocks @itv it’s been said for years.
“It would be funny. Seriously our household tho.”
Razor’s model wife is 13 years his junior and the pair share two young daughters.
On Valentine’s Day last month he had his 7,200 Instagram followers creasing after writing: “Happy Valentine’s to my beautiful wife, thank you for being a great mum and for always being there for me we love you.”
Before hilariously adding: “PS I’m out with the lads tonight.”
The pair tied the knot in 2013 in a lavish wedding at a country house in Kent which his former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Rylan Clark was bizarrely the ringbearer.
A further browse through his social media shows he is a doting dad to Pebbles and Kizzy.

In one image from last year, he shows his laid back side as one of his daughters covers him in shaving foam.
As shown on the show last night, he is not one to take life too seriously and uploaded a picture with two pieces of celery hanging from his mouth with the caption: “Name the Beatles’ classic.”
And it appears he is one for reminiscing and revealed that even at 50 he still can’t resist reading The Beano.
Leah is Ruddock’s second wife after his first marriage collapsed following a battle with booze.
He admitted how he used to go on three day benders but fortunately combated his struggles by enduring a 30-day stint in rehab.
Nowadays Ruddock can be seen making the odd TV appearance and making guest appearances at events.
Some of the shows include I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, Wife Swap and Big Brother.
He also made a brief stint on Can’t Pay We’ll Take It Away following a dispute over a £3,000 lack of payment to a dog kennel.
