‘I went viral for changing horseshoes – I promise it doesn’t hurt them’

Britian's most watched TikTok addressed his most asked question after going viral on social media for making ASMR videos of himself changing horseshoes.
Sam Dracott, from of Weighbridge, Surrey, has been a Farrier for 13 years but became a viral sensation on the video-sharing app last year after sharing 'satisfying' clips of his work.
The 33-year-old racked up more than 292million views on one of his videos, which shows him holding one of the horses' back legs as he clears away the dirt.

He then trims the hoof down and files it as the clip ends, which was then shared with the caption: "Satisfying."
Many viewers took to the comments, sharing the same opinion, comparing the sound to ASMR – however, other viewers had another question on their minds.
In the comments, Sam's most asked question is "does it hurt the horse?" – which he has now addressed in an interview with Daily Star.
He said: "That question is the most popular one that comes up and I think it's purely a small lack of knowledge about my trade.
"The profession has been around for hundreds of years, and it's been regulated, for the last 50 to 60 years.
"Everything that we do, has got no nerve endings or blood supply in so it's, it's basically a giant form of your fingernail.
"Because there are no nerves, there's no feeling of it at all, so it doesn't hurt whatsoever."
Sam went on to say he wants to educate more people about the process as he went through years of training to get to where he is now.
The bloke has had a love for horses since his childhood as his mum was always around them doing driving trials.
He earns between £90 to £110 per horse on his day job and now because of his viral success, he pockets a small sum from the TikTok creator fund too.
Dracott also recently appeared on an episode of ITV’s Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh following his online success.

Reacting to his success, he said: "It was a bit of a surreal experience. It's been pretty wild.
"It just kept growing and growing and when we got the total for the first year, we're in the top 10 most viewed videos, that was completely mind-blowing.
"Then the following year, we had the most viewed TikTok of the year – it was on 273million at the time of publishing that.
"It's quite an unusual job and it's amazing how people have gotten absorbed into it."
