‘I tried to bleach my hair at home – it wouldn’t stop falling out in chunks’

Dying or bleaching your hair at home can be a huge gamble – as one horrified woman found out.

Dada Jones fried her hair so bad her hairdresser was left pulling it out in huge clumps afterwards.

The woman, who posts online under the username @itsdadajones, attempted to touch up her blond roots with peroxide without forking out for a professional to do it.

But the beauty was left devastated when her hair became so brittle from the bleaching that it started falling out in huge chunks.

In the clip, which has gained more than 714,000 likes, she said: "Let this be your sign to not touch up your roots at home.

"Hairdresser looking terrified. It just kept coming out."

At first, she showed a clip of her beautiful hair before the touch-up, followed by shots of her horrified hairdresser pulling and brushing out the singed hair in clumps.

She was even left with shorter strands spiking up on top of her head.

In the caption, she added: "Goodbye never trying this again."

TikTok users were left horrified after watching her blunder and took to the comments to give their opinions.

One user said: "What are y’all doing, I’ve bleached and dyed my hair for literal years and this has never happened to me."

Another added: "Bestie, are you okay? I'm sweating watching this."

A third commented: "Not to flex but I bleach my own hair at home and I’m fine."

"Dw girl my hair did the same n in a couple of months my hair was sorta okay," a fourth wrote.
