I love my boyfriend but worry our differences will drive us apart

DEAR DEIDRE: ALTHOUGH I know my boyfriend is the man I want to marry, I have been noticing more and more that we are very different.

I am an 18-year-old female and he is 21. We have been together for almost a year.

He is my everything and I love him so much, but sometimes I’m not sure I even want to be with him.

If I imagine my future, I always see him there.

He is essentially the one I want to marry, buy a house with him and own loads of dogs.

Do you know of any way to get around these doubts I am having?

DEIDRE SAYS: Doubts like yours are normal at your life-stage, so just ride them for now.

Allow more time to get to know him better. Opposites can attract though it usually means compromises.

Stop worrying, and let the future take care of itself.
