Geordie Shore star Marnie Simpson’s plastic surgery timeline – as she prepares to give birth
Geordie Shore star Marnie Simpson is no stranger to surgery. In fact, her appearance has been altered so much that last year she was blocked at passport control because the e-passport scanner did not recognise her facial features.
The brunette beauty has undergone a string of procedures since joining the hit MTV show six years ago. Early last year the star was adamant she would never stop going under the knife, saying to The Sun: “Once you go down that route you can’t stop it. You want to perfect everything which is impossible.
“So if people were to come to me and ask about plastic surgery I always say, ‘don’t do it because it’s a road that you’ll never come back from’. But if you’ve got something you really hate then get it fixed. Otherwise you’ll never ever be happy with it.”
However, is Marnie still on the search for perfection, or has her current pregnancy changed her priorities?
Here is everything she’s had done.
Marnie Simpson before surgery
When the stunning star joined Geordie Shore in 2013 she was every inch the natural beauty – minus, of course, the obligatory Geordie tan and lashes.
Even in her opening VT for the show she said into the camera: "I’m a natural beauty – real boobs, real hair." But while her looks are still gorgeous, ‘natural’ can no longer describe her appearance.
Marine Simpson nose job
In 2014 Marnie got her first nose job after filming season 9 of Geordie Shore. She then went in for a second after her split with TOWIE star Ricky Rayment, who was her fiancé. This second one was to get rid of a slight bump on her nose.
Last year she had a third rhinoplasty. She told fans on her Instagram page that this was to fix her ‘confidence’ issues.
Showing off the results of the surgery, she said: “I’ve had previous surgeries and it left me feeling unhappy and struggling to breathe."
She travelled to Beverley hills for the procedure to seek out acclaimed surgeon Dr Ghavami. Marine explained: "I decided to travel overseas as having so many previous issues left me feeling stressed and anxious.
Marnie Simpson boob job
Also in 2014, the Geordie starlet underwent a boob job and said at the time, "I’ve had a breast uplift and had it done earlier this year. I had it done for two reasons, firstly because my boobs were not in good shape, I had one higher than the other and it massively affected my confidence.
“I’ve absolutely not had any implants put in at all, I just had my boobs lifted and levelled so they both sit at the same size. The second reason is that the first time in my life I’ve been able to afford the costs."
However, sadly for the star the operation didn’t go to plan and left her with painful sores that she had to fixed on the TV show, Botched Up Bodies, in 2015.
Marnie Simpson lip fillers
Alike to her other Geordie Shore co-stars, Marnie did not shy away from enhancing her pout. However, although her lips have been filled, this fills her with regret.
Earlier this year a fan asked on Instagram: "What would you say to someone who’s never had lip fillers but want them???"
The 27 year old star replied: “BE CAREFUL. My lips have got irreversible damage from lip fillers in the past and I would do anything to go back to my natural lips."
She added: "I haven’t had fillers in my face in a really long time as I HATE them and I honestly wish I could turn the clock back and never touch fillers."
She then went on to give some realistic advice on the safety of the procedures, writing: "But if you’re going to do it, go to a professional and stick with the same person and stick to the same type of filler.”
"And only start small, don’t over do it as you’ll mess your lips up for good [sic]."
Marnie Simpson cheek fillers and Botox
Marnie has also had filler injected into her cheeks in a bid to give them more definition. She even did it on a video uploaded to Youtube by Dr Robert of Harley Street, to promote the procedure in 2017.
However, she has now had them dissolved and is clear with fans that she now only gets botox injected into her face.
Speaking to Closer magazine the star said:"I was 21 when I first got fillers and I got them because everyone else was getting them."
"I had fillers put in my lips and cheeks, I had different types of filler put in my face and went to lots of different practitioners. Before I knew it, I looked completely different. But I thought I looked great and it became addictive."
Marnie Simpson bum filler
Last year Marnie also had filler injected into her bum to give her a more rounded derrière. After again uploading a clip of the procedure to her Instagram, the star wrote: "I’m always up for trying out new things and in the hands of expert @simonourianmd1 I discovered this procedure that takes no longer than 15 minutes to preform and is completely painless.
"Using a small filler to enhance your natural curve and achieve a rounder bottom. Everyone knows I’ve gained a lot of weight recently so this has helped me achieve a nicer shape without going under the knife.
"My bum was completely numb so I didn’t feel a thing and there is LITERALLY no down time or recovery. Perfect !!!!"
However, despite this recent procedure Marnie has now called time on having anything else done. Speaking to Closer magazine she said: “I had body dysmorphia and anxiety and I genuinely think a lot of it stemmed from being on TV continuously for so long. I think having a little bit of a break and a step back has massively helped my mental health.
“I started surgery too young. When you’re like 20, you don’t really know who you are and surgery is a risky move. You change your mind every week at that age.”
