Ah, So This Is What Bradley Cooper Said to Lady Gaga Right Before They Performed 'Shallow'

In case you didn’t watch and muted all your group texts last night, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper had a ~moment~ when they performed “Shallow” at the Oscars. They were definitely vibing, as the youths would say, and everyone and their mother has thoughts about what is truly going on there. But let’s just focus on the performance for now and what B. Coop said to Gaga right before they stepped on stage.

According to Gaga, Bradley gave her a pep talk like Marie Kondo would and told her to get out there and spark some joy. Specifically, Gaga remembered him saying, “Let’s just drop a little bit of joy,” which LOL, okay. As interesting of a pep talk as that is, Gaga said it really did the trick for her and added, “It turns out, joy did a whole lot for me.”

After the show, Gaga also explained what “Shallow” means to her, and it’s weird. Apparently, it’s not just about getting up the courage to go for your dreams or truly understanding someone else. Nope, it’s about cell phones. She explained:

Interesting thoughts there. I’ll dive into them after I rewatch their performance 12 times. BRB.
