Woman transforms her boring staircase with a Harry Potter theme and touching tribute to Professor Snape

A HARRY Potter fan has created an incredible staircase inspired by all things Hogwarts – and it even features a touching tribute to Professor Snape.

She’s turned her stairs into a shrine to the Harry Potter franchise, with photos, posters, memorabilia, newspaper clippings and maps all arranged in chic back frames.

She's also added figurines of the main characters – including Harry, Ron and Hermione – as well as themed props such as a pair of glasses.

At the top of the stairs she added an eye-catching quote – from Albus Dumbledore – which says: “Happiness can be found in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light.”

But the latest addition to her magical staircase is a moving tribute to Alan Rickman, who died in 2016.

Alan played the formidable Professor Snape in all the films, released over ten years.

Written on each step is a quote attributed to Alan, which says: “When I'm 80 years old and sitting in my rocking chair, I'll be reading Harry Potter.

“And my family will say to me, ‘After all this time?’

"And I will say, ‘Always’.”

She shared snaps of her magical staircase on Facebook group DIY On A Budget, where she said: “Growing staircase now has Alan Rickman added pride of place.”

Her post has racked up more than 4,000 likes, as people were in awe at her memorabilia collection.

One person said: “I need this in my life.”

Another wrote: “Absolutely love this, fair play. Brilliant.”

A third commented: “This looks fabulous, absolutely love it.”

While someone else added: “This is the hallway of my dreams.”
