Woman issues terrifying warning about why you should ALWAYS Google your date before meeting them

IF YOU are single and ready to mingle, we have a warning for you.

And no, it’s not to keep two metres distance between you and your date or to use hand sanitizer to avoid catching coronavirus.

This is something more serious than that.

It’s to be very aware of who exactly you are meeting and to Google your dates before meeting them.

Anyone who has ever been on a blind date before will be familiar with the temptation to do a little Facebook stalk before meeting up.

But a creepy TikTok video has revealed it’s probably a good idea to head over to our old friend Google for a quick search before meeting up for drinks.

It might sound silly and a bit dramatic to some, but one woman has revealed what happened when she was about to go on a date but instead took to Google to check out more about her suitor.

She was then horrified to realise that he was arrested for aggravated kidnapping.

Shaina Kay Cardwell, a recruitment manager from Nashville, explained to TikTok what happened.

She explained: “When I was about to go on a Hinge date and decided to Google him and saw he was arrested for aggravated kidnapping.”

But that’s not all, many TikTok users took to commenting on Shaina’s video to share their experiences of first dates and it turns out there’s a lot of crazy things going on out there.

Shaina’s video has quickly racked up a whopping 370.8k views in just a week of being live on TikTok.

It has 22k likes, 227 comments and 550 shares.

Many TikTok users were horrified at Shaina’s discovery.

One user commented: “OH GREAT HEAVENS.”

Another said: “Jeez that’s crazy.”

A third added: “This is why I don’t do dating sites.”

But it was the many other TikTok users who took to the comments to share their experiences that has caused concern for daters.

One person said: “A guy who begged me to date him who I turned down I googled later only to find out he was arrested for attacking a UPS worker at his house.”

Another added: “I straight up I asked a guy what would happen if I googled him and he told me I wouldn’t like it. Actual sexual assault accusations.”

A third commented: “My friend googled him after the date- he had an assault charge for killing his ex’s chihuahua and beating her with the dead dog. Google first.”

So if you’re single and heading out on a first date, give them a Google prior to meeting them.

It may feel weird, but it's better to be safe than sorry as you never know what someone might be hiding…

Meanwhile, I thought my date was going well until a man sat down beside us and she went deathly pale, and that was the start of it.

Also, my Tinder match pulled over halfway through our date to go for a nap – he even set an alarm.

As well as this, I spent 40 minutes getting ready to meet my date’s friends – but he didn’t like my outfit so sent me HOME in an Uber.
