The Duvet Dress Challenge has people turning their quilts into amazing fashion and some of them are catwalk ready

BORED Brits are looking for ways to distract themselves in the lockdown, with dances and challenges quickly going viral.

One has emerged as the most popular – the Pillow Dress Challenge – which even had celebs jumping on the bandwagon.

But now people are looking at what other parts of their bedding they can turn into outfits, and the Duvet Dress Challenge was born.

Much like its predecessor, it involves grabbing the duvet or quilt off your bed, and fashioning it into a frock.

The incredible creations look catwalk-ready, with people making themselves strapless frocks with thigh-high slits and long trains.

Plus one woman even merged the two challenges, by using her pillow as a handbag.

Others have accessorised their outfits with high heels, shades, jewellery – and glasses of wine.

The hashtags ‘duvet dress challenge’ and ‘quarantine duvet dress’ have popped up all over Instagram, with people captioning their posts: “Woke up like this.”

Which could be true, seeing as most of us spend the days in bed anyway.

Sharing their attempt online, one woman said: “It was time to change the sheets, so seemed ok to take it outside for a dress/ gown photo shoot before it’s thrown into the machine for a good clean.”

Another posted: “My attempt at the iconic #pillowdress didn't go too well so I created a #duvetdress instead.”

While a third said: “Friday evening and a glass of wine…… introducing the Duvet Dress…..”
