A WOMAN has divided opinion after revealing that she let her nine-year-old daughter get a nose piercing.

Meagan Black, who posts under the acronym @megz_nichole217, took to TikTok and shared a video where she recalls one of the cruel comments she's received from a trolls: "You're a bad mum for letting your nine-year-old have a nose piercing."

She captioned the post: "People call me a bad mum for letting my nine-year-old daughter get a nose piercing, I don't get why it bothers anyone."

The post has since racked up an impressive 991,000 views and been flooded with comments online – with very mixed opinions.

While some critcised Meagan and warned aged nine is far "too young", others praised her for allowing her daughter to "express herself" so early on.

"Personally I think 9 is way too young, I’d let them get it in middle school but you do you!!" wrote one.

A second agreed: "I got a nose piercing myself but 9 is a bit too early because the nose hasn't fully grown yet."

A third penned: "And some people thought my mum was crazy for getting me a second ear piercing at 11!"

However, others defended Meagan's decision and argued that as long as her daughter is happy, that's all that matters.

"They can always take it out if they don't want it anymore," one social media user pointed out.

A second highlighted: "It’s just a piercing like it’s not letting them get a full sleeve of tats – it’s her kid not there’s if she has let her get that done that’s her choice."

Meanwhile, a fourth said: "My parents pierced my ears at like 5 it's no different than facial piercing lol."
