Microblading nightmare left me with weeping blisters and raw skin

A WOMAN has revealed she was left with horrific blisters under her eyebrows in a "botched" microblading treatment.

Shannon Bozzell, from Michigan, got the £270 treatment ($350) done at a local salon – and claims she was left with the "BIGGEST ugliest eyebrows in Kalamazoo", the town she lives in.

The 44-year-old said she has thin brows "due to over plucking in my 20s", so decided to try the popular semi-permanent tattooing procedure.

But she has been left with unnatural looking block eyebrows after going under the needle.

Shannon shared pictures of the results on Facebook, slamming "she f***ed my face up… I've basically been in hiding ever since."

She said: "I didn’t ask many questions during the process as I thought she knew what would be best for me and my face shape."

Three days after the initial job, Shannon returned to the salon so the artist could "scrape off" some of the colouring and reshape her brows – but that only made things worse.

She said: "That’s when my eyebrows got infected and blistered real bad (I still have pink scars that are very visible)".

Shannon was asked to return a third time, but said she "wasn't letting that lady touch me again".

The procedure was done by Anne Hicks, who owns Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio and has defended her work.

"I stand by the work that I did when she left, and I stand behind the fact that I told her in detail what the process could be and what the process was," Anne told WWMT.

Anne explained she drew a diagram on Shannon's face, showing how the brows would look, before tattooing her – and asked if she was happy with the shape.

The beautician also defended her business on Facebook, after Shannon's post went viral.

She wrote: "It means everything to me. This is my everything. I don’t take it as a joke. I take what I do very seriously…

"I tried many times to get her (Shannon) to come into my studio so I could make this right with her, and unfortunately that never happened."
