Meghan Markle lookalike releases unseen baby pictures as the Duchess of Sussex prepares to give birth

THE UK'S top Meghan Markle lookalike has shared pictures of her son and daughter in a first look at what Baby Sussex might look like.

Sarah Mhlanga, a 36-year-old charity worker from Manchester – who is in demand as a double both in the UK and overseas thanks to her uncanny resemblance to the pregnant royal – believes the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's newborn will resemble her own children.

“My husband is African and my children are mixed-race and I wanted to show what to expect when the first pictures of Baby Sussex are released,” said the mum-of-two who is proud to be a "Meghan mummy" doppelgänger.

She met her other half, 38-year-old charity worker Jabu, in February 2008.

In a picture taken of her with her second child, daughter Mimi-Raie, soon after her birth on August 21, 2012, the proud mum looks the spitting image of the Duchess.

"I showed a friend this picture this week and they immediately thought it was Meghan and Baby Sussex,"she explained.

“I do think Meghan will have a girl and I can imagine she will be besotted with her daughter and unable to stop looking at her when she is born.

"She and Harry will be overwhelmed with the new baby smell, the beauty of the child and the sheer joy of being new parents just like my husband and I were."

Sarah continued: “Waiting for the announcement that Meghan has given birth made me nostalgic for when my children were born.

"When I looked through my old photos even I was shocked at the resemblance."

Sarah has spent the last 18 months working as a professional Meghan lookalike for magazines, newspapers and television, as well as fashion, toy and events companies, all over the world.

Her friends started telling her that she looked like the former Suits actress, 37, in 2017 when the engagement was announced.

Around the same time people starting approached her in supermarkets or on the school run asking if she was Meghan.

“I then started getting stopped up to 15 times a day by people wanting to tell me how much I resembled the then-royal-bride-to-be," she recalled.

As a mother of mixed race children, Sarah said she understands just how important the birth of Baby Sussex will be to showing the world how progressive the royal family is.

Her and Jabu's first child, son Josiah, was born nine years ago on April 10, 2010.

“It was a natural birth just like Meghan wants, and my son arrived after a 12 hour labour," she recalled.

"I was nervous about the labour but I had practised yoga for more than 15 years and it helped tremendously.

“When Mimi-Raie was born I felt more confident and experienced.

"I did more intensive pregnancy yoga, specially developed to make the body more flexible during birth, and it is the type of yoga I believe Meghan has been practising since she became pregnant.

"I used essential oils on a daily basis and spent a lot of time holding my bump and talking to the baby in the womb.”

She continued: “I had a water birth for my daughter which lasted six hours and no pain relief.

"I used breathing techniques, meditation and specialised yoga birthing poses to ease Mimi-Raie into the world.I am sure Meghan will use the same techniques.”

As well as her specific yoga and water birth plan, Sarah revealed Jabu played a critical role.

“A calm birth using yoga for preparation and meditation only works if your husband is completely involved in the entire plan," she explained.

"Jabu stayed by my side the entire time and I squeezed his hand to counteract the contraction pains. At one point I thought he was going to deliver the baby as he was more involved than the midwife. I kept trying to persuade him to go and get a drink but he refused.

"I know Harry will be the same, and I know when Harry cuts the baby's cord it will be an incredibly proud moment.”

Sarah added that she thinks royal fans will not be prepared for the appearance of the royal child.

“When both my children were born they had straight hair and were quite pale. Their mixed-race colour and curly hair didn’t develop for quite a few months,” she said.

“I think many people expect mixed-race children to be born with afro hair but that doesn’t happen.

"They are born with straight black or paler hair and you think gosh where’s their afro.”

“My children’s hair developed after a few weeks, and because they are mixed-race they had tight curls, not a typical afro when their curls developed.

"I think people will expect the royal baby to look darker than it will when it is born.

“Meghan and Harry’s baby will like look like Mimi-Raie or Josiah with significantly paler skin. Their  skin darkened over a period of  time."

Sarh suggested that Harry will need to read up on how to care for afro hair if Baby Sussex is a girl.

"Learning to deal with mixed race children’s hair is always a  big challenge for parents," she explained.

"The tight curls and the need to use more specialised shampoos and conditioners was a rapid learning curve I went on and I know Harry will be on.

"My daughter hates having her hair brushed and I use Cantu oil to help tame her hair.

"That’s something that Meghan and Harry will have to deal with if their child is a girl.

“Now my daughter insists on the latest mixed race hair trends and if myself or Jabu don’t have time to do an intricate style she gets cross."

She also said her children have also been teased because of their mixed-race origins.

"Mimi Raie has been bullied because of her hair," the mum-of-two revealed.

"People will say ‘look at your messy hair’ or give the children odd looks and it is something Meghan and Harry should prepare themselves for.

“I wanted my children to embrace their mixed-race origins from the time they were born.

"This includes having dolls of different ethnic origins, lots of books about mixed-race children and showing them lots of positive mixed-race role models.

"Mixed-race children need to know they are embraced by both their white and African relatives.

"They need to feel they are not ostracised because they are not all white or all black.”

“My kids are the best thing to ever happen to me, they have grounded me and they are beautiful. They can’t wait to see pictures of Meghan and Harry’s child because they want to have a prince or princess in the palace ‘just like them’.

“It’s wonderful to see my mixed-race children feel so connected to Meghan and harry and what their child represents."

Sarah admitted that she was shocked when she first discovered how much she looked like Meghan.

"I didn’t know who she was and had to google Suits. When I saw we had the same skin tone, nose, eyes and hair I was shocked,” she said.

The former actress and model was soon approached to do lookalike work.

“First I was asked to do a story about my Meghan looks. Then children’s book companies, hotels, fashion stores, magazines, television stations and events companies wanted me to make appearances. It is an honour and I love it,” she said.
