Lidl is launching its own merch in UK stores next week
Think Ikea’s Frakta bag, but Lidl.
As of September 16, you’ll be able to buy official Lidl merch in the UK – and it’s perfect for the Lidl fan in your life, especially as prices start at 99p.
Called Lidl by Lidl, the new range includes adult-sized trainers for £12.99, sports socks, men’s swimming shorts, and a foldable shopping bag.
It’s already been available in other territories, with happy customers posing in their merch on social media.
Everything, of course, comes in Lidl colours (bright red, blue and yellow) with the recognisable logo.
The merch has a retro feel to it, making it that bit cooler than you might expect for supermarket apparel.
The trainers in particular will catch eyes, given the low cost and supportive ankle padding, which will run in both women’s and men’s sizes.
Over in Amazon, sellers are marking up the items – especially the trainers – for over triple the cost, proving how hotly anticipated they’ve been.
The collection will launch nationwide next week, so look out in your local Lidl – the stock will only be sold for as long as it lasts, which might mean it goes quickly.
In women’s sizes, the trainers will go from sizes 4 to 7, and in men’s sizes 7 to 11 1/2.
Elsewhere the socks will sell for just £1.49, swimming shorts for £4.99 and the tote for 99p – so it’s budget,-friendly casual fashion that’s at once practical.
The tote in particular will be a great way to cart your shopping home comfortably thanks to the wide straps, all without the need for plastic bags.
While it’s not quite the season for swimming, the elasticated shorts run from sizes S to XL. They’ll certainly stand out from the crowd.
Back in July, someone posted to Twitter: ‘After months of thinking I’d never find it, I finally got the Lidl merch’.
Another wrote last year: ‘All I want for Christmas is Lidl merch’, so expect competition if you plan on stocking up.
Now you can do the food shop on-brand.
