Kate Middleton re-wears ‘stunning’ cherry red coat for Commonwealth service with royals

Kate Middleton, 38, complemented Meghan Markle, 38, for the Commonwealth church service today. Both women chose complementary colours for the event – the Duchess of Cambridge in red, and the Duchess of Sussex in green.

As pictures of Kate dropped on social media, fans rushed to compliment her.

One wrote: “Just wow! The #DuchessofCambridge looks absolutely stunning!”

Kate’s striking hat, which looked elevated from her head, is the SADA felt saucer hat, £460, from Sally Ann Provan.

Her coat, which featured a velvet trim on the collars and cuffs, was from Catherine Walker. She had last worn this on Christmas Day 2018 for the church service.

The mum-of-three added a sexy edge with a pair of sky-high velvet red stiletto court shoes.

A pair of ruby and diamond drop earrings, by Mouawad could be seen swinging from Kate’s ears.

These are part of a matching set she owns, and she has previously been seen in the necklace as far back as 2011.

In her hand, Kate held a pair of red gloves, but had no need to wear them in the warm temperatures.

The Duchess wore her newly cut brown hair in an updo, allowing her hat to take centre stage.

She kept her makeup simple, opting for taupe eyeshadow and nude lips.

Meghan Markle looked striking in a vibrant green look by Emilia Wickstead.

The dramatic dress had an asymmetrical cape detail over one shoulder.

She wore a fascinator in a matching hue, but her shoes were nude.

The lining of Prince Harry’s jacket matched Meghan’s bright dress.

She wore a pair of her favourite Birks Snowflake earrings.

One Twitter fan said: “Of course, Meghan Markle came through in another gorge outfit. Perfect way to end a rather stylish week in true style!”

Another said: “Others can stay mad and green with envy. Keep shining, Meg!”

Meghan wore a bespoke look by royal favourite Emilia Wickstead.

The original design dost £965, however, bespoke dresses can run into the tens of thousands.

The cape detail is from a jumpsuit from the brand’s collection, which was previously worn by model Gigi Hadid.
