I’m a plus-sized gym girl – I won’t apologize for taking up space anymore, fat girls workout too | The Sun

A PLUS-SIZE woman is sharing her gym workouts on her TikTok platform and is inspiring others to do the same.

KaitlynCab13 rocks at the bench press and is showing plus-sized women can be gym bunnies too.

“This video,” she captions her latest post, “represents taking up space.”

“My love for the gym was cultivated with some priorities in mind for me to overcome.”

It's not just physical for Kaitlyn. Visits to the gym have positive mental benefits too.

“It’s meditative and incredibly calming to push yourself into uncomfortable movements/moments," she says.

She has had to face body-haters and body-shamers, but is ignoring these unkind detractors, and doing things her way and is urging body positivity.

She is happy in her own skin: “I am shorter than most," she says. "A happy lil bean.”

“I’m my own worse enemy and when I’m able to laugh at myself and recognize my reality of being fat and still moving how my body wants to…I am bigger than anything that comes my way…even the possible judgment of others," she says.

“Here’s to vulnerability and new adventures."
