I’m a DIY expert – the cheapest and easiest ways to keep your home warm when it’s freezing outside

WITH soaring gas and electric prices, a DIY expert has taken to TikTok to share her helpful tips and tricks.

Laura says that there are many things homeowners can do beside the often pricey options to help keep the heat in.

One of the most cost effective things you can add to your home are double glazed windows, the expert says.

But if you live in a rented home, or even an older home, this isn't always possible.

Luckily there are some great alternatives. Laura suggests buying secondary glazing film for a budget friendly option.

Even if you aren't a DIY pro like Laura, they are easy to install by simply taping them to your windows and shrinking them into place with a hairdryer.

Houses can also lose a lot of heat through the floor boards, the expert explained.
