Giovanna Fletcher on love, Brexit and wanting to snog Emma Willis – The Sun

Giovanna Fletcher is mum to three sons and is married to McFly star Tom, 34.

Here, The Happy Mum Happy Baby podcaster, 35, discusses love, Brexit, and wanting to snog Emma Willis

What is your greatest fear?

Something happening to my kids [Buzz, five, Buddy, four, and Max, 19 months]. I try not to catastrophise, but there’s that mum-guilt thing.

Who or what is the love of your life?

The collective Fletcher boys. Before having kids I would have said Tom, but having children puts everything into perspective.

Who would you invite to a dinner party?

The Queen – I think she’s amazing. I’d make her my famous roast potatoes.

How often do you have sex?

Oh my god! Tom and I were laughing about the infrequency of our sex life. But we have three kids – we did it at some point!

Who makes you laugh the most?

Tom. We can be having an argument about something ridiculous and he just makes me crack up. That’s why we’ve been together for so long [16 years].

What makes you angry?

Rude people. I hate a blatant disregard for others.

Leave or remain?

I’m half-Italian – so remain! I’m gutted we’ve left. My dad has been here for 40 years, paying taxes and working, and then all of a sudden he had to apply to stay. It’s insulting.

What possession would you rescue from a burning building?

Probably my phone so I could call someone about the building being on fire!

Who was your first kiss?

A boy called Ben Green. My best friend Sarah was going out with him and she decided I couldn’t start secondary school without kissing anyone, so she lent me her boyfriend.

What song would you have played at your funeral?

Somewhere Over The Rainbow. It’s always been a favourite.

What’s the most pain you’ve experienced?

Breaking my middle toe while heavily pregnant. I was running around getting the kids ready and accidentally kicked a footstool. That was up there with childbirth.

How do you relax?

Running really de-fogs my mind. Afterwards, I love a bath with a podcast or some music.

Who would you like to apologise to?

My mum. I’d say sorry for being a bit of a twerp growing up, and for not always letting her know how great she is.

What do you think happens when we die?

I’d like to think there’s something else, but you have to do everything now because there might not be anything afterwards.

Celebrity you’d love to snog?

Emma Willis. She has great lips.

Clean or messy?

Clean. I can’t write if the house is a mess.

What’s in your handbag?

Now it’s not a changing bag, I travel a lot lighter. So other than keys, my phone and purse, I have a book, headphones, notebook and lip balm. I did have a Deliciously Ella oat bar, but I’ve eaten that.

Most famous person in your phone?

I think it’s Kim Cattrall. I worked with her on a play, but it was years ago so it’s probably not even the right number now!
