From detox oil to a travel styling kit, these beauty and health products are absolute must-haves for 2020 – The Sun

EVERY week in 2019 there was some new beauty or health product to put to the test. We tried out some of the oddest, and most amusing.

But a few along the way really amazed us and have become must-haves for 2020. Below are our favourites. Happy New Year!

Coolsculpting

Amazing for removing fat from stubborn areas.

You lie on a bed and your fat area – in my case my spare tyre – gets sucked into a machine and frozen for half an hour.

“Coolsculpting Queen” Sadaf Jaffari massaged the frozen crystals of fat back to blood temperature by rubbing my tum.

A month later the roll over my jeans had GONE. Pricey but worth it.

Polar watch

I was a Fitbit fan for years but then I was asked to try out the Polar Ignite – and I would never go back.

If you really want to get fitter and monitor your progress this smart waterproof watch is great.

A big clear face plus continuous heart rate, step and sleep tracking, alarm and breathing exercise programme.

  • POLAR WATCH, available at polar.com from £199.50

Water

I tried this water-filter jug in January and it (along with the Soda Stream) has made me drink far more H20 and saved me a fortune on bottled water.

It claims to be the only water filter that removes 99.6 per cent of all dissolved solids in tap water.

Detox oil

This lightweight oil is my go-to product for clear, healthy skin.

It has jojoba, watermelon seed and bergamot oils as well as vitamin E and is formulated specifically for oily and combination skin.

It made a huge difference to my skin. It absorbs instantly and as well as being my must-have product when I suffer breakouts. I love it.

  • DETOX FACE OIL 30ml, available at skinandtoniclondon.com from £22

Body oil

A rose-infused body oil that provides intense hydration while restoring suppleness to leave skin soft and radiant.

It smells amazing and absorbs wonderfully into the skin. Moroccan Rose Otto oil also has anti-inflammatory properties.

Carthame oil nourishes and repairs the skin’s barrier whilst macadamia oil strengthens against moisture loss.

This left my skin super hydrated without making it greasy or sticky. I prefer this to using a body cream.

  • MOROCCAN ROSE ULTRA-MOISTURE BODY OIL 100ml, available at renskincare.com from £35

Travel styling kit

This is a fantastic must-have travel set containing a miniature 1200w hairdryer, ceramic styling iron that heats up to 190C and two clips.

The hairdryer has two speed settings and includes two nozzles: a mini diffuser and a concentrated nozzle. A travel essential.

  • VIAGGIO TRAVEL STYLING KIT, available at alfaitaliapro.com from £44.95
