Watch: Fan Slays Parody of Keke Palmer’s Viral Meme #SorryToThisMan
The parody video goes viral in no time and even prompts some celebrities to react to the incredible reenactment with singer Tinashe leaving a crying emoji underneath an Instagram post about it.
AceShowbiz –Keke Palmer generated meme following her apparance on Vanity Fair’s video in which she admitted that she didn’t know former Vice President Dick Cheney, or “this man” according to the actress. And that apparently gave inspiration for a fan who decided to reenact that viral moment for her Halloween look this year.
The fan, who goes by ebscurlytv on Instagram, took to the photo-sharing site to share a video of her imitating the “Hustlers” star while taking a Lie Detector test for the publication in such amazing details. Donning similar hairdo and makeup, the fan mouthed Keke’s words and even perfectly copied the actress’ head movement.
“#SorryToThisMan I absolutely had to do it for #Halloween2019,” the fan wrote in the caption. “@KeKe Palmer is my sister from another mister, doppelganger (according to 99% of my subscribers), Virgo twin, alladat! Lolol So please tag her in the comments so she can tell me if I did her justice! “
The video went viral in no time and even prompted some celebrities to react to the incredible reenactment. Tinashe left a crying emoji underneath TheShadeRoom’s post about it, seemingly hinting that she found the clip too hilarious that she cried. Meanwhile, “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” star Brittany B expressed her feelings with multiple laughing-and-crying emojis.
“Bro she nailed every single movement!!!!!” one fan commented with another adding, “Girl had to been saying this since the video came out cause she on point.” One comment, meanwhile, read, “Lmfao it’s the ‘sorry to this man’ that gets me.”
Keke was the talk of the town over her reaction when she was asked if her title character, a fashion-company vice president, on “True Jackson”, VP, was better than Cheney. “I hate to say it, I hope I don’t sound ridiculous, I don’t know who this man is. I mean, he could be walking down the street, and I wouldn’t know a thing. Sorry to this man,” she said. And further making the whole scene funny, the lie detector machine showed that the actress was being 100% truthful.
During her appearance in a panel discussion at SHE Media’s #BlogHer19 Creators Summit, Keke said she had a good scolding from her mom for not knowing Cheney, who served as VP of the U.S. in 2001. “It was so crazy,” she shared. “My mom was like, ‘You didn’t know who Dick Cheney is?’ I said, ‘We don’t even talk about Dick Cheney!’ and then she tried to tell me what he was about, and I said, ‘I see why we don’t talk about him!’ “
