The Two Styling Tools That Give Kendall Jenner's Hair So Much More Volume

Kendall Jenner’s hair is full of secrets — namely that she has a killer glam team that styles her hair in the loose bendy waves and early aughts-inspired messy updos of my dreams. 

When Jenner doesn’t have her go-to pro at her disposal, though, she has to rely on her own two hands to do her hair (much like me). Through a ton of trial-and-error, I’ve figured out that the hot tools I use to on my hair is a huge factor in whether or not I’m able to get the look I’m trying to achieve just right. Turns out, Jenner can relate.

Considering the number of hours Jenner spends in stylists’ chairs on set at photoshoots and backstage at fashion shows, she’s seen the struggle of trying to use hot tools that just don’t perform firsthand. That’s why her latest beauty gig just seems right.

Jenner has collaborated with Formawell Beauty on a collection of professional-grade hairstyling tools launching December 8th at formawellbeauty.com. Aptly named the Runway Series, the collaboration includes a blow dryer, flat iron, curling iron, and both round and paddle brushes. “I was really drawn to the people behind the brand and the desire the Formawell team has for creating professional hi-tech elegant products that are affordable for everyone,” Jenner exclusively told InStyle via email. 

Each of the hot tools’ surfaces are infused with the brand’s special Ionic Gold Fusion mineral technology. The negative ions and infrared energy emitted from the mineral guarantees even heat distribution and keeps hair shiny. Despite the fact that the line is pro quality, you don’t need a Kar-Jenner budget to afford them. The prices range from $15 for one of the brushes to $120 for the blow dryer.

As for what tools Jenner actually uses herself on those days when her stylist is off? Well, it’s a tie. “I’ve been really into wearing my hair textured with some extra volume and have been using a combination of the Formawell Runway Series Pro Flat Iron and Formawell Runway Series Pro Hair Dryer,” said Jenner. 

Aside from a couple of solid hot tools, Jenner’s other tip for healthy, glossy hair isn’t actually a product at all. “Always drink lots of water! It’s not only good for your skin and nails…but your hair!,” she said.
