"I'm really enjoying not having a hangover the next day, I've lost weight and feel amazing," she said at the launch party for jewellery brand Clogau.
Together with ditching the booze, Tanya, whose co-star Hanna Kinsella recently opened up about her feud with her, has taken it upon herself to hire personal trainer Assan Bin Amissi to keep her on track.
A source close to the TV star explained: "Tanya is well known for liking a glass of wine or champagne – it's part of her glam lifestyle. But she decided to make the change as she approaches 40 and is loving the result as well as how she feels."
"Her trainer pushes her hard but it’s clear how much good it’s doing her – she’s even talking about giving up booze for good now," the insider told The Sun Online.
It comes as Tanya recently opened up about being back in her house after a terrifying house fire broke out while her young daughter was at home.
In an exclusive interview with OK! Online, she recalled the moment the fire broke out while only her daughter Gabriella, now 17, was at home.
Tanya, whose co-star Hanna also revealed how she would fit four kids into her busy life, told us: "My daughter was in and she was about to go downstairs to use the treadmill with her headphones on. The fire brigade knocked on the door right then, thank god, and they rang me. It was mental."
After rushing to her daughter's aid she explained: "I got home and my daughter was sat outside. She goes on the treadmill in her pyjamas, so she was sat there in her pyjamas with her ear phones in crying on the floor."
The fire started during the heatwave, when a TV under a skylight exploded into flames.

"It set the whole top of the house on fire. It’s taken a year to get the house restored. We had to take it right back to it’s shell and started again," she said.
The terrifying ordeal, Tanya explained, has changed her outlook on material possessions. She continued: "We lost everything but of course because the kids and the whole family were OK, we weren’t bothered.
"It just confirmed that the home is where the family is, and it doesn’t matter about bricks and mortar."
