‘Teen Mom 3’ Alum Alex Sekella Praises ‘Incredible’ Fiance While Announcing Engagement
AceShowbiz -Wedding bells are chiming for Alex Sekella. On Wednesday, December 26, the “Teen Mom 3” alum announced via her Instagram account that she has gotten engaged to her “incredible” boyfriend, Tim Peters, a few days before Christmas.
Sharing the happy news with her followers, the 25-year-old uploaded a collage of photos that combined two pictures of her and her now fiance posing in front of a Christmas tree and a snap of her engagement ring. “A few days ago this incredible man asked me to be his wife,” she gushed in a caption that concluded with happily ever after hashtag.

Alex’s revelation was quick to get her celebratory messages from both her followers and friends. One in particular was her former “Teen Mom 3” co-star, Katie Yeager, who took to Twitter to congratulate her. “Congrats Alex,” Katie wrote, “you deserve the Happiest of ever afters!” Immediately after, Alex replied, “Thank you so much!!”
Alex rose to fame with her appearance on MTV’s “16 and Pregnant” before continuing to star on “Teen Mom 3”. She has a 7-year-old daughter named Arabella which she shared with ex-boyfriend, Matt McCann. She fell out of touch with McCann because of his drug addiction. “I haven’t spoken to Matt in over a year,” she admitted to Us Weekly in 2013.
She went on to add, “He was stupid and lied to my face about multiple things that he was doing. Dealing with an addict is so hard. I was so confused on what to do because I wanted to be there for him and his family when it all happened. But at the same time, I don’t want Arabella anywhere near that. So you sort of get stuck in the middle.”
Luckily, the TV personality didn’t have to put up with her ex again. Shortly after “Teen Mom 3” was canceled in 2013, she didn’t get a call to join the 5th season of “Teen Mom 2” in 2014. She stayed out of the spotlight ever since and felt that it was “the best decision” she could ever made. “I’ve been able to start a normal life and start a REAL career that will last a very long time and benefit my children,” she admitted on Instagram in 2017.
