Taylor Swift Shares Celeb-Packed Video For ‘You Need To Calm Down’

Taylor Swift has shared a video for “You Need to Calm Down” in which she is reunited with Katy Perry.

The celebrity-packed video also features LGBTQ+ pop culture icons, including Laverne Cox, Adam Lambert, Ciara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Jonathan Van Ness and Ellen DeGeneres.

The track, the second single from Swift’s upcoming album Lover, highlights Swift’s support for the LGBTQ+ community.

The singer-songwriter recently wrote to Senator Lamar Alexander seeking his support for the Equality Act when lawmakers consider the legislation in the Senate.

She also created an online petition to help encourage support for the bill.

In the closing of the video, she makes an appeal to her fans to support the petition, noting, “Let’s show our pride by demanding that, on a national level, our laws truly treat all of our citizens equally.”
