Stevie Nicks Opens Up On Rock Hall Induction
In March, Stevie Nicks will become the first woman to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice.
In all, 22 male musicians were listed in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice.
“Well, that’s probably the biggest part of it,” the Fleetwood Mac singer said in a new interview.
“My biggest hope is that I have opened the door due to the fact that there’s 22 men who have gone in twice and zero women. I think that’s really a little off balance. That’s what I’m hoping, that what’s happened here to me will give all the little rock and roll stars that are just waiting out there a little hope that they can also do what I do,” she told Rolling Stone.
Nicks was announced as an inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist in the middle of the 2018 leg of Fleetwood Mac’s world tour.
