Stacey Solomon pens emotional letter to mum during isolation and says she ‘couldn’t have raised her kids without her’

Stacey Solomon has opened up about feeling anxious and missing her mum in a series of candid Instagram posts.

The 30 year old Loose Women star shared her decision to write her mum, Fiona Solomon, a letter after being separated from her amid the lockdown.

Sharing a snap of her notebook, pen, and her favourite snack – a Daim bar – resting on her lap, Stacey, who recently hit back at trolls for criticising her as she shared photos of her son Rex outside, shared her feelings as she wrote: “I hope you're all ok…

“I feel so strange tonight so… I'm going to write my mum a letter.”

Praising her mum for regularly helping her with her three sons Zachary, 12, Leighton, seven, and Rex, ten months, she added: “She's usually here most days helping me with the boys when I'm working.

“I spoke to her earlier and for some reason it made my tummy flip a bit.”

Gushing about the bond she has with her mum, she added: “I couldn't have raised my pickles without her. And as sad as it sounds, she's the person I go to whenever I'm feeling nervous, and even at 30 she knows how to make me feel like everything is going to be ok…

“I miss her cuddles and just her kindness”, Stacey said, before she added: “I know we are so lucky to be self isolating and that some parents aren't even able to be with their babies or loved ones, which I couldn't even imagine.

“So I hope I don't sound like I'm moaning because I'm not, I just miss her.

“Sometimes when I feel a bit low I write my thoughts down and it can help, so I thought maybe if I write my thoughts down in a letter to my mum I might be able to sleep and get a deep breath in.”

The next morning, Stacey shared a photo of the hand-written note to her mum on her Instagram story and revealed it helped her feel better.

As she shared a photo of the letter on her bedside table, she wrote above the snap: “Last night writing this to my mum really helped me take some thought out of my head and leave them on the paper And I slept much better… [sic]

“This morning I’ve been reading my messages and thousands of you are missing family and really struggling so I thought…”

In another image Stacey, who was recently left shocked as Michelle Obama shared a tribute to her, kindly suggested that her followers could write her a letter if it helped them feel better.

She wrote on top of the same snap in another post: “This might sound like a really silly idea…

“But if anyone out there is really struggling and has no one to talk to or just wants to let it all out…

“Then write a letter and tag me in it… I’ll write back and send it back to you… Maybe it might take your mind away for a short while. I definitely loved putting pen to paper and taking my mind away for a bit before bed… [white heart emoji] We can we #pandemicpenpals and look out for each other.” [sic]
