Rush To Release Making Of ‘Farewell To Kings’ Graphic Novel

Rush has announced that a graphic novel based on the making of the band’s classic album, A Farewell to Kings, will be released on September 10.

“We worked incredibly hard to create a graphic novel that celebrates the music of RUSH, and the creation of the album of ‘A Farewell to Kings’ as a work of art,” said Fantoons LA-based creative director, David Calcano. “We think this book will be something for comics and music fans alike to cherish,” he added.

The book is co-written by Fantoons’ David Calcano and Lindsay Lee, and features artwork by Juan Riera and Ittai Manero.

The story was written with input from Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson and album producer Terry Brown, who also penned the foreword.

In July, Fantoons will release a unique, fully authorized coloring book, with 70 illustrations packed with gorgeous Rush artwork and references from Moving Pictures to Clockwork Angels.

The 144-page the graphic novel is available for pre-order now from the band’s official RushBackstage, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Indigo, and Chapters booksellers.
