Quentin Tarantino and David Lynch Pay Respects to Late Robert Forster
Upon learning of the ‘Jackie Brown’ star’s death, the ‘Kill Bill’ director states that ‘the world is left with one less gentlemen,’ while the ‘Mulholland Drive’ helmer calls him ‘a great human being.’
AceShowbiz -Directors Quentin Tarantino and David Lynch have added their tributes to actor Robert Forster, who passed away on Friday, October 11.
Forster starred in Tarantino’s hit film “Jackie Brown” and the moviemaker insists casting the late actor was one of the best choices he’s ever made.
“Today the world is left with one less gentlemen,” he said. “One less square shooter. One less good man. One less wonderful father. One less marvelous actor. I remember all the breakfasts we had at silver spoons (restaurant). All the stories. All the kind words. All the support. Casting Robert Forster in Jackie Brown was one of the best choices I’ve ever made in my life. I will miss you dearly my old friend.”
Lynch, who worked with Forster on “Mulholland Drive” and TV series “Twin Peaks“, also remembered the star fondly.
“I feel so lucky to have had the chance to know and to work with Robert,” a statement to Deadline reads. “He was a great actor and a great human being. He will really be missed.”
