Piers Morgan brags about dropping £4k on champagne at boozy Christmas bash

Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has bragged about his hefty bar bill he racked up last night and made sure all his followers knew exactly how much he spent on his pals.

Piers, who recently signed a new GMB contract, is clearly in the money as he spent £4,200 on posh champagne – along with several other items on the long list.

Tagging cricketer Kevin Pietersen, who had joined the festive bash, Piers teased him and said he was the only one not allowed the luxury booze.

"Morning Kevin ⁦ @KP24 ⁩, I asked them to serve only YOU Prosecco, the rest of us had Bollinger….", he wrote, alongside the photo.

Piers' followers scolded him for his exuberant display of wealth.

One called it "obscene" while another joked: "Oooo look at me. I have money. I’ll show everyone how I splash it on twitter".

"Could have housed a family over Xmas and into summer for what you spent in one night on booze. Poor taste", pointed out another.

Piers also posed for photos with his "TV wife" and co-host Susanna Reid .

Susanna sported a gorgeous red lip and sparkly eye shadow as she smiled next to her controversial GMB co-host.

She shared the amazing snap on her Instagram page with the caption: "Last time you'll see us together this decade. #piersmorgansparty ".

On Wednesday's GMB episode, the pair downed a glass of red wine each in preparation for their Christmas break.

They said goodbye to viewers and sipped on the alcohol together.

Piers was challenged to tell the difference between a bottle priced at £20 and one selling for £120 – with Andi Peters introducing him to wine connoisseur Ash from Hedonism Wines in London's Mayfair.

The controversial presenter also recently got into a Twitter spat with Stormzy when the latter criticised the Prime Minister Boris Johnson during a trip to a school.

The UK grime star had spoken to young pupils at his former primary school in Thornton Heath, south London, when he was questioned on his dislike of the prime minister.

Stormzy had told kids the PM was "a very very bad man" and compared him to "the big bad wolf".

Piers moaned on Twitter: "He shouldn't have done this, and shouldn't have been allowed to do this."

In response, Stormzy tweeted: "The kid asked me a question and I replied truthfully nothing wrong with that Piers lol."
