Oscar-nominated actor Dev Patel enjoys downtime in Dublin with girlfriend Tilda Cobham Hervey

British actor is making the most of his downtime in Ireland while he spends the next number of weeks here filming.

Patel landed in Ireland in February to begin filming The Green Knight, a blockbuster fantasy, opposite Alicia Vikander, who has also enjoyed her sojourn in the capital with husband Michael Fassbender in recent weeks. The bulk of filming is taking place in Tipperary, but set-ups have also been established in Ardmore Studios in Wicklow for the latter stages of the shoot; which is why Patel has set up camp at the five star Shelbourne Hotel. 

The Oscar-nominated actor was spotted walking arm-in-arm with his girlfriend of two years, Australian actress Tilda Cobham Hervey – whom he met on the set of Hotel Mumbai – around St Stephen’s Green as they made their way back to their temporary digs. 

Over the long weekend, he was pictured making the most of the sunshine in Dublin’s Phoenix Park, eating ice creams in the sunshine.

A24, the independent film company which made The Lobster, Ladybird and Moonlight is behind the film, which also stars Irish actor Barry Keoghan.
