‘Old Town Road’ Finishes Atop Billboard’s Songs Of The Summer Chart

Lil Nas X‘s record breaking smash hit “Old Town Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, finished at No. 1 on Billboard‘s 2019 Songs of the Summer chart.

“Old Town Road” had dominated the list in each of the 14 weeks since the ranking made its annual return.

The Songs of the Summer chart is a 20-song list that tracks the most popular titles based on cumulative performance on the weekly streaming-, airplay- and sales-based all-genre Billboard Hot 100 from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

“Old Town Road” topped the Hot 100 chart for a record-breaking 19 weeks from April 13 through August 17. The track also dominated the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Hot Rap Songs and all-genre Streaming Songs charts for a record 20 weeks each.

“Old Town Road” previously broke the record for the most weekly streams for any song ever. It recorded 143 million streams in the week ending April 20, according to Nielsen Music.
