New Kendrick Lamar Album May Be In The Works
Kendrick Lamar might release a new album next year after all.
Earlier this month, Lamar had said that he isn’t currently working on a follow-up to his 2017 album, DAMN.
During an interview with the LA Times, Lamar denied working on any new album, however, he said that “he’s merely been jotting down thoughts, ideas and questions.”
However, Polydor Records may have inadvertently revealed Lamar’s plans to release a new album in 2019.
Polydor Records, which is affiliated with Interscope, posted an image on the Instagram, which has now been deleted, that lists upcoming albums for 2019. Among the list are Black Eyed Peas, ScHoolboy Q, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez and Lamar.
Lamar was recently nominated by Golden Globe for original song in a motion picture prize, honoring “All the Stars,” his collaboration with SZA from the soundtrack to Black Panther.
Lamar also received a total of eight nominations for the 2019 Grammy Awards for Black Panther soundtrack, including Best Rap Song, Best Song Written for Visual Media and Best Rap/Sung Performance.
