Naomi Campbell Left Devastated by Oribe Canales’ Death
AceShowbiz -Supermodel Naomi Campbell has shared a heartfelt tribute to celebrity hairstylist Oribe Canales after he passed away on Monday, December 17 at the age of 62.
The star has expressed her grief over the loss of the Cuban-born hair guru, revealing she considered him a member of her family.
Campbell’s personal and professional relationship dated as far back as 1986, when Canales styled her for her first Vogue shoot in 1986.
“It’s devastating for everyone that loves him,” she said in a statement to People. “He was such a talent and such a force. Oribe is a chosen family member for me since I was 16 years old.”

Thankfully, the 38 year old has fellow fashion icons Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington to turn to for support following the loss.
“(They both) called me,” she added. “They’re my two chosen sisters. Whatever people want to think about us, we were always close and will always remain close and in each others lives.”
Campbell is one of several models to honour the stylist’s memory.
“I will miss you Oribe,” Heidi Klum tweeted along with a playful image of Canales spraying her hair.
Emily Ratajkowski posted an image of herself posing with an updo he created, and captioned it, “Rest in Power, Oribe Canales. I am so grateful to have been able to work with you and know you.”
Cindy Crawford also remembered her old friend in an Instagram post, shared an image of the pair and writing, “Oribe – you will be missed! Your incredible talent, your charm and good looks and just enough bad boy to keep us all laughing (sic)!”.
