Molly-Mae not worried as Tommy Fury ready to 'risk his life' in boxing return
Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague isn’t worried about her boyfriend Tommy Fury putting his ‘life on the line’ as he makes his return to professional boxing.
Tommy, who met Molly-Mae on Love Island this year, is more than ready to get back to the day job.
The 20-year-old told press that he’ll happily get in the ring with anyone, even YouTube star KSI.
Whoever ends up facing him had better brace themselves for a proper scrap.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk and other press, a fired up Tommy said: ‘If that fight was to come off against KSI, I’d be in the gym, I’d be training like a Trojan. And come the fight I would be ready to put my life on the line.
‘When I’m in that ring, I will die trying to win. Literally that’s what I’ve got inside me. You talk to me dad and you talk to [brother] Tyson, pride is the main thing for us. The family name is what means the most to me. I’ll never go in the ring and be afraid of someone.’
When we asked Molly-Mae how she felt hearing how far her boyfriend is willing to go, the reality TV star said she was ‘proud’.
‘It’s what he loves, it’s his passion. It’s what he’s good at. He eats, breathes, sleeps it,’ the 20-year-old told us.
‘If he’s not talking about it he’s watching it. If he’s not watching it he’s doing it. It’s our lives now. It’s my life as well I’m so invested in boxing. It’s something that I love now and I’m so interested in it.
‘So hearing him say something like that is not a surprise to me because I know it’s what he is so passionate about.’
Asked if she is ‘invested’ enough in the sport to want to have a crack at it herself, it was a definite ‘no’ from the model.
‘Absolutely not! Definitely bloody not. I said I’d be the ring girl not the boxer,’ she joked.
