Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter split after month-long romance

Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter‘s whirlwind romance appears to be over.

The couple, who kicked off their PDA tour in Italy last month, “broke up,” an insider told People, noting Cyrus, 26, and Carter, 31, are “still friends.”

Both Cyrus and Carter had split from their significant others, Liam Hemsworth and Brody Jenner, respectively, earlier this summer.

“They’ve been friends forever and were there for each other when they were both getting separated,” the source said.

In August, Cyrus confirmed she and “Hunger Games” star Hemsworth, 29, had separated after less than a year of marriage. Carter and Jenner, 36, also parted ways following an elaborate wedding ceremony, which took place last year.

Cyrus and Carter were spotted together on numerous occasions over the past month, including an eventful outing at Soho House in West Hollywood, where they were seen “basically having sex.”

“They were obsessed with each other. They couldn’t keep their hands off each other,” a spy previously shared with Page Six.

The duo recently got cozy during a New York Fashion Week event this month.

Reps for Cyrus did not immediately return our request for comment.
