Meghan Markle Under “Much Less Stress” While Living in Canada

Meghan Markle has been keeping a remarkably low profile since stepping down alongside Prince Harry as senior members of the royal family—and reportedly, that’s exactly how she wants it to be.

According to People, the Duchess of Sussex is relishing her time settling in with Prince Harry and their 9-month-old son Archie, as the dust settles from their decision to leave royal life behind.

“It was just this tremendous shift when Meghan returned to Canada [after their announcement],” a source told People. “You could tell that she felt so much less stressed.”

The new family have been residing in Vancouver Island since their royal exit, and have been enjoying Canada’s stunning scenery, going on hikes with their two dogs and spending time practicing yoga and cooking at home. The couple’s main priority however, remains to be parenting their young son, Archie.

“Archie is the priority. It’s very much still about taking care of him and putting the family first,” continued the source close to the couple. “He’s a happy kid—he loves to laugh. Archie and Harry have such a good time together. And Meghan is a great mom. She’s very much about tending to him. They are trying to live their life as regular parents.”
