Meghan Markle and Prince Harry want to be bigger than the Beckhams and could make $100m

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have hatched a plan to rival Victoria and David Beckham’s family brand.

According to new magazine, the couple, who are now based in Canada, are determined to make a fortune independently, in the hope of becoming the new Posh and Becks.

A source revealed: “Now the royal purse strings are going to be cut, Meghan’s determined to ensure she makes millions off her own back.

"She’s thrown herself back into work mode since being back in Vancouver, telling pals how she can’t wait to see all her ideas come to fruition."

Her plans are thought to include teaming up with her Hollywood friends to help her return to her acting roots. She’s also said to be using her contacts in a bid to bring out her own clothing line.

“Meghan’s set to make $100million in the first five years of her post royal life, with mega-bucks endorsement deals, a fashion range with her stylist pal Mischa Nonoo, and movie roles following secret meet-ups with George Clooney, Angelina Jolie and a string of Hollywood directors” continued the insider.

“She’s already been offered a string of roles which could see her become one of the biggest stars in Hollywood and overtake Scarlett Johansson by becoming the highest-paid actress in the world.”

Along with her own career, the mole says Meghan, 38, is also looking at the earning potential of working together with Harry, 35, and their eight-month-old son Archie.

“Meghan knows she’s hot property and she’s hoping to cash in on her family too – mimicking what the likes of David and Victoria have done to create brand Beckham. She’s already been approached by modelling and acting agents who are interested in Archie’s potential, too.”

Now it’s full steam ahead as the Duchess settles into life post-royals.

The source said: “With Meghan now free to do what she wants, she’s going all out to hire the best team of agents, managers and publicists.

Last week Harry, who has now joined his wife and son in Vancouver, revealed their decision wasn’t “made lightly” and they had “no other option” but to step down as full-time working royals.

In a speech at a dinner in London for his charity Sentebale, Harry said: “Our hope was to continue serving the Queen, the Commonwealth, and my military associations without public funding. Unfortunately that wasn’t possible.”

He added, “I have accepted this, knowing that it doesn’t change who I am or how committed I am.”
