Megan Barton Hanson opens up on her sexuality and wishes she dated women ‘sooner’

Megan Barton Hanson has opened up on her sexuality in a candid new interview, revealing she wishes she had dated women sooner.

The 26 year old came out as bisexual last year while filming Celebs Go Dating, opting to date The Only Way Is Essex star Demi Sims.

After filming, the pair broke up and Megan has moved on to her current singer and footballer girlfriend Chelcee Grimes.

Love Island star Megan has now opened up on her attraction to women, saying: "I wish I had a relationship with a woman sooner — it's the best thing I did.

"It's hard to describe but it's so different with a girl than it's so different with a girl than it is with a guy.

"When I started dating women I thought 'this is actually me' and I felt much more comfortable and close that I have done with any guy," she continued to tell the Mirror.

Megan and Chelcee split in October after it emerged they had been messaging the same girl behind one another's backs.

However, they rekindled their romance in November and have been strong ever since.

Megan recently opened up on her former career as a webcam model, in which she earned up to £6,000 per day.

Speaking at a panel hosted by Ann Summers in celebration of International Women's Day she said: "It made me feel so empowered, and I could choose my own hours. If I wanted to earn £6,000 in a day then I could do it.

"It's an old-fashioned stereotype that if you work in the sex industry that you must be thick and have nothing else going for you. That it's the last resort, but it's really not.

"I was a legal PA for three years, and then I chose to do something different. I just wanted a bit of excitement and more money. I associated money with happiness.

"I had girls coming in to stand and laugh at me while I was trying to work. My photos were all over Facebook. I thought I might have made the biggest mistake of my life.

"By the end of it I came out so much more confident and had a better relationship with my body. I got a lot of stick for it, but it was the best thing I ever done.

"I was like,''Yeah that's me and what?' It's exactly what I did when people tried to shame me after Love Island. It was a moment in my life. I enjoyed it and now it's done," she continued.
