Maura Higgins hints at brutal truth behind Curtis Pritchard dumping

Love Island's Maura Higgins was absolutely savage when she hinted at the truth behind her split from Curtis Pritchard.

The outspoken star took the major swipe at her reality star ex on Instagram on Thursday for all her 2.8million followers.

In a stinging shout out to her ex, the former grid girl hinted she pulled the plug on their relationship because she had given up on making it work with the ballroom dancer.

The Irish born beauty declared herself a "strong woman" and insisted it didn't mean she had to keep things going with her former flame in the scathing social media post.

She wrote: "A strong woman never gives up on herself, but she may give up on you."

The reality television star accompanied her message with a smiling photograph of herself.

In the snap, Maura perched herself on the edge of a box and she let her furry jacket slide off her shoulder to expose her naked shoulder.

Her brunette locks were arranged in a flurry of curls down her back and over her breasts.

The Dancing On Ice star was clutching hold of a takeaway Costa coffee cup while she modelled the range from boohoo.

Maura was seen looking downcast when she was spied for the first time after going public with her break up.

It has since emerged the end of their relationship was dogged by cheating rumours which inevitably led to their split.

The latest in the saga revealed Maura had grown close to her Dancing On Ice partner Alex Demetriou.

Prior to this, it was also claimed the Irish beauty confronted Curtis over gossip he had cheated on her with AJ Pritchard's backing dancer Amber Pierson.

Talk has also questioned whether Maura and Curtis were forced to fake their romance for three months in a bid to stay in the limelight.

Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague have been the only couple from the 2018 summer Love Island series to stand the test of time.
