Maren Morris & Husband Ryan Hurd Announce They’re Expecting A Baby Boy!

A baby on the way!

Maren Morris and husband Ryan Hurd announced via Instagram on Tuesday they are expecting a baby boy in March, and we couldn’t be happier for the parents-to-be.

The 80s Mercedes songstress shared the happy news with her 1.2 million followers, writing:

“The irony is just too rich that after a year of living in the ‘GIRL’ headspace, the universe would give us a baby boy to even things out. See you in 2020, little one. ??”

Her better half also shared two sweet snaps with his expecting wife, quoting Jason Alexander‘s character from Seinfeld. The future daddy wrote:

“MY BOYS CAN SWIM. BABY BOY HURD 2020! Look at her…cannot believe this life with this girl. Also, thank you George Constanza for this caption that I’ve been sitting on my entire life…”

The 32-year-old also sent out a tweet, revealing his wife’s due date to be in March:

As the 29-year-old wrote (above), she has been living in a female-powered year since the release of her appropriately named album Girl.

We previously reported while chatting with People ahead of the March 2019 drop, she explained being baffled that men — specifically white men — are continuing to dominate country music right now:

“It’s baffling. There are tons of artists making incredible music, not just women — people of color and different sexualities are making catchy country music. I’m grateful my singles have done well, but it’s frustrating to continue to have these conversations and no results. Kelsea Ballerini and Carrie , I think they’re in the Top 20 now, so that’s an improvement to a month ago when there was zero. But we need more. I’m hoping in this year we see more of a tide turn.”

But luckily, she has plenty of leading ladies in country music who she has fostered a sisterhood with:

“It makes me feel like I’m not just dealing with it myself. I love those nights when we can just unplug and wear sweatpants, hang out, have tequila and laugh and cry.”

Maren also shared with the publication she and Hurd had “a plan in mind” for when they’d try for a baby, “but not anytime soon!” She added at the time:

“If you’re gonna get married, you have to have those talks beforehand anyways, and I definitely know that I want a family, and he would be such an amazing dad; he’s such a kid himself. I love his family, and he loves my family.”

Cute!!

Congratulations again, Maren and Ryan!!
