Love Island’s India Reynolds got death threats over Ovie Soko cheating rumours
Love Island runner up India Reynolds has opened up about the savage abuse she has received online since false rumours surfaced suggesting she had cheated on Ovie Soko.
Trolls sent the 28-year-old death threats after an Instagram account reported she had been unfaithful to basketball player Ovie.
The pair appeared on the ITV show together and finished in third place.
Ovie was incredibly popular in the villa and protective fans were furious when it was alleged India kissed her ex boyfriend at his birthday party.
She has now revealed fans turned on her and she was bombarded with abuse over the story.
Speaking at the launch of her Boohoo clothing range, she told The Sun Online : "In school everyone goes through phases and whatever, but it has only been this week that I have had all of a sudden, people writing nasty comments.
"It was difficult, no one wants to see that and feel like people hate them."
She added: "I was getting messages like, 'if I found out you cheated on Ovie I will kill you'."
India has tried to avoid the negative comments, but confessed she ends up reading them out of curiosity.
"I was like, that is mental, you don't even know him. You have literally read an Instagram rumour and now you are sending death threats," she said.
India was in Portugal for her footballer ex Kieran Gibbs' party, and an account called ukgossiptv wrote: "Our source tells us that they over heard her say 'If Keiran made it official with me, I would dump Ovie'…
"Later on she was allegedly seen grabbing and kissing Keiran’s face in front of a lot of people."
A rep for India denied the claims, stating: "There is no truth in this whatsoever and Ovie and India are still very much together and happy".
India described the last week as "tough", but insisted that it hasn't caused a wedge between the couple.
