Lizzo Shares Inspiring New Year’s Message
Hip-hop star Lizzo took to Twitter to share a deeply inspirational message about the possibilities that the coming decade holds.
“2009 was the year my daddy died,” the 31-year-old tweeted on New Year’s Eve. “2009 was the year I lived in my car & cried myself to sleep on thanksgiving.”
“2019 is the year my album & song went #1,” she continued. “2019 is the year I told my mama I can buy her a house.”
Lizzo also posted two, back-to-back pictures of herself from 2009 and 2019 respectively.
“Anything can happen in a decade. Tomorrow is the beginning of ur Anything,” she added.
2019 is also the year in which the “Juice” singer was named the Top Entertainer of The Year by Time magazine.
Having released her third studio album in April of 2019, the singer wrapped up her “Cuz I Love You” tour in Denmark on November 19, 2019.
