Jesy Nelson has responded to reports of a blossoming romance between her and Our Girl actor Sean Sagar.

The 29 year old Little Mix star is rumoured to have “grown close” with the hunky actor after “spending quality time with him recently”.

Sean and Jesy, who recently celebrated her birthday in lockdown, are said to have began hanging out together shortly after her split from Love Island veteran Chris Hughes in April.

The pair are said to have spent time alone as well as with a group of mutual friends.

A source told The Sun: “Jesy and Sean have really hit it off. They’ve got the same sense of humour and he’s been making her smile.

“He’s told his mates he thinks she’s really hot and fun to be with.

“Their special bond has cheered him up too, as all his acting work had been put on hold due to Coronavirus.

“So hanging out with Jesy has made him really happy again. But Jesy has insisted he’s just a mate to her.”

Sean was also snapped covering his face with a pair of sunglasses and a black cap as he reportedly left the Shout Out To My Ex singer’s home last week.

Despite reports, a representative for Jesy has denied the claims, as they said: “Jesy has adamantly denied that she is dating Sean Sagar and states that they are just friends.”

Jesy became single once again after splitting from Chris, 27, in April amid the lockdown.

A source said: “Jesy and Chris split up a couple of weeks ago. It was all very amicable and they're still really good friends.

“They had a chat on the phone about their relationship and both agreed that it felt like it had run its course – they're both absolutely fine,” the insider continued to tell The Sun Online.

Shortly before parting ways, Jesy admitted she hadn’t seen her man “for a while” as they decided to spend lockdown apart.

Jesy stayed with her mum while Chris chose to isolate with his flatmate.

Speaking about the arrangements on KISS Breakfast, Jesy said: “I'm not on my own, I'm with my mum.

“I’m not with Chris, he's at home. So yeah, I haven't seen him for a while which is really weird.

“I’m used to it anyways, we don't see each other all the time, we go for like weeks and weeks without seeing each other, obviously when I tour as well, so yeah, I'm sure I'll get used to it.”
