King Charles’ £600m fortune as he’s worth almost double what Queen Elizabeth was

As the reigning monarch, it comes as no surprise that King Charles III boasts a huge fortune, and new analysis has revealed his personal fortune to be £600 million.
The 74 year old, who will be officially crowned at his Coronation on 6 May, has amassed millions over the years, with the Duchy of Cornwall now valued at more than £1 billion.
Analysis for The Sunday Times Rich List has revealed King Charles to have a personal fortune of £600 million, which eclipses the late Queen Elizabeth II's fortune, which was calculated at £370 million in 2022, before her death.
Like her son, the late Queen had an impressive investment portfolio, made up of stock market shares and bonds, which is believed to be worth around £100 million, according to the analysis.
The analysis also shows that between 2011 and 2022, Charles increased the Duchy of Cornwall's annual profits by 42.6 percent, to £25.4 million.
Between 2012 and 2022, Charles received £212.7 million from the Duchy of Cornwall, according to the data, which he opted to pay income tax on.
The duchy, which has been Charles' main source of income, is one of the largest estates in Britain and dates back to the 14th century. Holdings include the Oval cricket grounds, 260 farms and 67,000 acres of Dartmoor.
Charles' property developments in Dorset and Cornwall have helped to increase the duchy's income, as well as renting commercial properties in London, Milton Keynes and Cornwall.
He's also earned millions from his organic food brand, Duchy Originals, which launched back in 1990 at his Highgrove House estate in Tetbury.
It has gone on to become an established leading organic and natural food brand, and in 2010, Duchy Originals went into partnership with leading supermarket Waitrose.
Waitrose sells a full range of products under the new brand name, Duchy Organics, which includes fish, eggs and dairy. The biggest success of the range is said to be the Duchy Originals biscuits, which have proven to be a hit with shoppers.
While Duchy Originals has helped to earn King Charles millions, since the brand launched all profits have gone to charitable causes.
