Justin Bieber Just Addressed His Racist Past and Use of the N-Word

Things have drastically changed for Justin Bieber in recent years. Though he was once the bad boy of pop music — acting destructively and offensively — he has since turned over a new leaf. For years, we watched Bieber’s horrible behavior where he antagonized people in the service industry, his fans, hung out with awful people and used horrendous and racist language.

However, in the past several years — the musician has become religious. He attends church faithfully and has become a Christian, committed to living better according to the word of God. With his marriage to supermodel Hailey Baldwin — the Purpose singer has really come into his own, even putting music and performing on the back burner as he’s worked on healing and his mental health.

Still — Bieber’s past antics didn’t simply vanish into the abyss. In fact, he’s now addressing his racist past and his rampant use of the n-word.

Justin Bieber has been caught on video using the n-word many times

A violent and offensive word against Black people across the globe — the n-word is horrible and triggering, especially when it comes from a non-Black person’s mouth. However, that didn’t stop the “What Do You Mean?” singer’s rampant use of the word.

When he was 14-years-old, Bieber was caught singing a terribly racist version of his own song, “One Less Lonely Girl’ — subbing lyrics to sing, “There’ll be one less lonely n*****.” At the time, his team said they were glad it was made public so that the singer could address what he’s done. After talking to his mentor Usher and Will Smith — Bieber issued an apology saying, “I thought it was OK to repeat hurtful words and jokes, but didn’t realize at the time that it wasn’t funny and that in fact, my actions were continuing the ignorance.”

Unfortunately, that was not the end of Bieber’s racist antics.

Justin Bieber has made racist jokes about Black people

While appropriating Black culture for his career and personal use — Bieber also thought it was fun to make horrible and offensive jokes about Black people. He was caught on tape asking, “Why are black people afraid of chain saws?” He then referenced Black people running.

He also joked about killing Black people in one video and joining the Ku Klux Klan. These videos prompted yet another apology from the musician which read, “I thought it was OK to repeat hurtful words and jokes, but didn’t realize at the time that it wasn’t funny and that in fact, my actions were continuing the ignorance.”

Justin Bieber says he’s now committed to standing up against racism

Despite his own racist past — Bieber says he is now committed to standing up against racism. It appears that his newfound faith has led him to this point. In a recent Instagram post — Bieber posted a photo that reads, “Stand Against Racism.” He wrote under the post, “When I was young I was uneducated and found myself saying really hurtful things not knowing the power of my words.” He went on to add, “Racism is still very prevalent and I want to use my voice to remind we are all human beings and all of EQUAL VALUE BEFORE GOD!”

We just hope that Bieber has truly changed and he’s sincere in his declaration.
