John Krasinski Loves Mimicking Emily Blunt's British Accent, but She Thinks It's Awful
What’s it like living with a spouse who has a different accent than you? Just ask John Krasinski, who can’t resist mimicking wife Emily Blunt’s British accent from time to time, much to her chagrin. The A Quiet Place Part II director stopped by Live With Kelly and Ryan on Monday and admitted that Emily is decidedly not on board with his attempts at speaking “in her native tongue,” as host Kelly Ripa phrased it.
“I tried, and she was very quick to tell me how bad it was,” John said matter-of-factly. To top things off, Emily apparently got their two daughters, Hazel and Violet, on board with roasting his fake accent, seeing as they now laugh at him whenever he takes a stab at it. Welp, it sounds like John’s three gals certainly enjoy ganging up on the only man in the house! Watch the interview clip above to judge his accent for yourself and to see what (very odd) couple name the actor has chosen for him and Emily.
