Jay-Z brings his own brand of champagne to Golden Globes

No Moët for Bey and Jay.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s bodyguard was spotted holding bottles of the rapper’s own brand of champagne, Ace of Spades, at the Golden Globes on Sunday.

“.@Beyonce and Jay-Z just walked in,” LA Times reporter Amy Kaufman noted on Twitter alongside a photo of the couple standing by their security. “They’re waiting until Kate McKinnon finishes speaking to take their seats.”

She added, “Is their bodyguard carrying bottles of alc for them?”

In the photo, the guard can be seen holding two bottles behind his back, despite one of the official sponsors of the evening being Moët & Chandon.

The rapper spent $200 million in 2014 for a stake in the high-end bubbly Armand de Brignac, which makes Ace of Spades.

The couple was reportedly an hour late to the show on Sunday night. Beyoncé was nominated for best original song for “The Lion King,” but lost to Elton John and Bernie Taupin.
