Jasmine Harman: Emotional A Place In The Sun presenter details ‘scary time’ in lockdown

After A Place In The Sun presenter Jasmine Harman, 44, previously opened up on social media about her coronavirus symptoms, the TV star has now revealed the details about her “emotional and scary time”. The TV star said before speaking to her online community about her health condition, it was “a very scary time”.

The presenter, who is currently isolating at home with her two children, spoke about what it was like being unable to leave the house.

Jasmine exclusively told Express.co.uk: “It was a very scary time thinking that I was unwell and work’s been cancelled, and not knowing what was going to happen with schools and family, other family members, friends who are vulnerable.

“That was a very scary time, but it was all made so much more bearable by the fact that my community around me was so amazing, and so kind, and people were so helpful because I couldn’t go out anywhere, at all.”

She then continued to speak about how she felt “grateful and so emotional” when people offered to help out.

Jasmine added: “I felt so grateful, and also very, very emotional, feeling like my liberty was gone, I couldn’t leave the house.

“None of my close friends and family are close to me geographically, we’re all scattered around the place, so it was really, really uplifting, and emotional to know that they had my back.”

The mother-of-two previously revealed how her breathing was “painful” when she first fell unwell.

She said: “I was supposed to be travelling on that Sunday evening. My breathing started to become painful.

The TV presenter then explained that she had been travelling a lot at the time, and was “willing” to continue to work.

She revealed: “I was travelling a lot. I’d been working a lot as well, again through airports and on planes, on trains, all over the place feeling fine.

“I wouldn’t say it was like the worst feeling I’ve ever had, at all.”

Jasmine continued: “Because had this all not been an issue, I would have probably thought, well, I’m still fine. I’m willing to go to work.”

While Jasmine is now “on the mend”, the Channel 4 host this week told her 34,000 Instagram followers how “difficult” it has been for her while her husband Jon Boast is away.

The star explained to her followers that her partner is currently “locked down” while working in Devon.

She said: “Anyone who has small children or even bigger children, probably even worse, home-schooling and all the rest of it is pretty full-on.

“I must say since my husband has been away, I have really gained a huge understanding of what it must be like to be a single parent.”

The TV personality also expressed to her followers how much she “respects” those single parents who do it all on their own.

She confessed: “My god, hats off to anyone who’s parenting on their own with their children.

“Especially in the lockdown when it’s even more difficult to get any help or support or a babysitter or even grandparents to come round and help you or anything.”

During the interview, Jasmine discussed how “blessed” she is to have her two children after her and Jon’s journey with IVF.

Since the couple underwent IVF, the host has worked with professor Geeta Naga, to help launch and promote an IVF package called ABC IVF.
