Harvey Weinstein was chased by tiny Chihuahua around accuser’s apartment
A “frightened” Harvey Weinstein was once chased around his accuser’s apartment by her roommate’s tiny Chihuahua, according to testimony on Tuesday.
Elizabeth Entin, who shared an East Village apartment with accuser Mimi Haleyi in 2006, recalled the disgraced movie mogul’s humiliating encounter with the tiny pooch named Peanut in 2006 as part of his ongoing rape trial.
“She said Harvey Weinstein showed up at our apartment … She said he just, you know, pushed his way in,” Entin said, referring to a phone call she received from Haleyi. “Then we started kind of laughing about it because apparently my dog, this small Chihuahua, was chasing him around and he was kind of frightened about it … He said, ‘What is this thing? Get it away from me.’”
The dog drama occurred prior to Weinstein — then one of the most powerful men in Hollywood — allegedly forcibly performing oral sex on Haleyi at his Soho apartment on July 10, 2006.
The fallen film mogul laughed off Entin’s testimony as he left the courtroom in Manhattan Supreme Court when the trial broke for the day.
“Are you afraid of Chihuahuas?” a reporter asked him.
“Do I look like I’m afraid of Chihuahuas?” he shot back with a chuckle.
Weinstein faces up to life in prison on predatory sexual assault charges, among others, involving Haleyi and two other women.
