Harry Styles Mugged At Knifepoint On Valentine’s Day
Pop singer and former One Direction member Harry Styles was robbed at knifepoint while taking a stroll in Hampstead, North London, on Friday, February 14.
The incident took place at 23:50 hours on Friday and a report by Mirror Online details that Styles remained calm in the face of the panic-inducing situation.
“He actually played it pretty cool, quickly giving the assailant cash, keeping himself and the guy calm and getting the situation over with,” a source shared with the news outlet. “Understandably though it left him very shaken up afterwards.”
The police are now investigating the case and reported that “a man in his 20s was approached by another man and threatened him with a knife. The victim was not injured however, cash was taken from him.”
The incident took place mere hours before the singer’s ex-girlfriend, Caroline Flack‘s unresponsive body was found in her London home. She and Styles dated for three months back in 2011.
Flack, who resigned from her role as host of the reality TV show, “Love Island UK” in December of 2019, was facing trial in March for assault charges and reportedly hung herself.
Meanwhile, Styles performed the emotionally-stirring song, “Falling” at the 40th edition of the BRIT Awards on Tuesday night.
The song is included in the singer’s most recent album, Fine Line which was up for a BRIT in the category of Best Album. Styles was also nominated for Best Male Solo Artist, but he lost in both categories.
